This morning a tweet from Vlad got my attention:

The AHA ideas for connections was "locked down" so that nothing was readable anymore. You have to login or register to [...]

LowCode? ProCode? Darum geht's
Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 4:41 PM UTC
I am speaking at Engage!
Monday, January 20, 2020 at 5:44 PM UTC
A little bit over one week ago I started a personal call for teaming up with me to send an abstract for the upcoming Engage. The feedback was good. I immediately got messages from three people who wanted to co-speak with me. Unfortunately one of them wasn't able to coordinate the preparations for the abstract in time, so there were these gentlemen left:
Speaking at #EngageUG ? Here are some tools
Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 4:36 PM UTC
It's only 48 hours until the deadline for sending abstracts. If you haven't sent it yet, hurry up! If you already have sent one or more, you may want to start checking out how to create your presentations and demos. Another challenge might be the collaboration with a co-speaker when you don't share the same solution for chatting, conferencing and screen sharing. I collected some tools [...]
Engaging the herd
Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 12:27 AM UTC
Today was the first HCL Master call this year. It felt so good to be amongst those people again after 1 year of not being an IBM Champion / HCL Master. Thanks again to all who found myself being trustworthy enough to be a part of this again!
In this call we also enjoyed some insights from Thomas Hampel and also Theo Heselmans, who emphasized on the upcoming Engage conference in March. The [...]
Quick-Tip: iTerm: Option+Number keys not working
Monday, January 6, 2020 at 8:31 AM UTC
I recently installed iTerm on my new Macbook and eversince I had the problem that the pipe symbol was not recognized. The pipe symbol on a Mac is typed using Option+7 (which is simply ALT+7). In iTerm this was without any function.
The reason: iTerm uses Option+Number to switch between split windows (if you use any). The settings can be found in the general preferences, not in the individual pr [...]
Vorsatz fürs neue Jahr
Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 4:41 AM UTC
Back again and new
Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 12:37 AM UTC
I am honored and humbled to be announced as an HCL Master for 2020 - thanks to all who nominated me!
When IBM decreased the number of IBM Champions back in 2018 I didn't get the ticket for 2019 - which was perfectly fine for me. I was really silent during the conversion from IBM to HCL.
Now, with HCL being in full spin for t [...]
MBP & dock, second attempt
Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 12:58 AM UTC
After I tried to run the MBP with 2 external 1080p displays using just two identical dongles and facing no issues at all, I gave the dock a second try.
It worked quite well. No issues with kernel tasks going crazy or fans spinning to death.
I assume that temperature control kicked in at that time when I put the MBP in my stand which partly covered the air outlets. I didn't expect that mu [...]
